The search is over..... October 24, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a robust, well designed piece of kit. Its well made, has very good sound and is very easy to use. I particularly like the ease of transfer from the PC. The player plugs directly into the USB and the drag and drop is quick and simple. 4GB for the price represents excellent value. My last 2 MP3 players have not lasted long - this will be worth 5 stars if it keeps on.
A nice little MP3 player September 15, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The Philips SA2640 is a nice little compact MP3 player.
It's easy to use and works straight out of the box without having to install the software on CD included.
It's dead easy to add/remove files using Windows Media Player and all the music is organised by Artist and Album so it's easy to find the music you want, or you can just set it to play random music out of the whole collection
There are several equalizer presets too: Rock, Funk, Jazz, Classical, Hip Hop and Techno and the sound quality is excellent
Some versions come with a radio but sadly not in the UK market.
The controls are easy to use and there is a lock button to prevent you pressing the controls accidentally.
There is a notch in it for a neck strap but there isn't one included.
Another useful feature is that it comes with a short USB cable in case your USB ports are rather crowded.
An excellent all-rounder. It would get a five if you could use playlists.
