Great Sound! Poor design! January 1, 2009 If you are looking for a pair of PC Speakers that sound great (as most people would!) then look no further! The sound quality is superb! However, in my opinion, these speakers are let down in two ways. Firstly, the very flimsy stands - THEY ARE USELESS! If you open the window then beware - they COULD blow over. The slightest knock on the table or desk and over they go.... Mine constantly fall over and have many dents to proove it. These speakers are not cheap - but the stands make them look like a 10 pair! And secondly, the almost useless on/off/volume switch. The switch is located on the side of one of the speakers and unless you have small hands and long nails then prepare for a very "fiddley" and frustrating time switching them on and turning them up! All-in-all, great sound, poor design.
Just right for a good listen November 29, 2008 These wonderful speakers have great imaging and detail, good balance across the frequency range, and easily beat the two other pairs of similarly priced sets I have tried for listening enjoyment. I was recommended these after a detailed discussion with a PCWorld adviser. Having explained that I wanted to hear a hifi type sound, he recommended these saying he had had them set up in the stock room while and had been impressed. I took him at his word and am glad I did. I recommend these, particularly for anyone who appreciates good acoustic music.

I have been looking at speakers fom my computer for ages. After looking for ages there were 2 sets of speakers which were in my price range they were the Creative gigaworks T4os and the Philips mms321.I decided to get the mms321. when they arived i thought the looked sexy.I wired them up and pumped up the volume an was i amazed the highs were crisp. The mids are life like and the lows are floor shaking.these are a good buy and you wont disappointed. Thanks for reading
Great sounding speakers June 21, 2008 I have tried a few 2.1 speakers for my macbook pro and most have sounded tinny, so bad i even used the mac's own speakers. But then I tried the Philips MMS321 set up, they are a huge improvement despite lacking a subwoofer. The bass is clear and deep and the sound is so crystal my neighbours can hear them through the wall. The look compliments my Macbook Pro so they look great. Minor flaw is the huge power adaptor but thankfully I can hide that out of the way. If you want great sound they are worth the purchase, and for notebook owners I recommend them.
Jack pin major downfall May 23, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased these speakers from PC world last year to provide sound for training sessions. They were easy to set up and provided a good quality sound in a room that seats 16 people- so far so good! Used about 30 times. However the lead needed to connect to the amplifier is built into one of the speakers and is a 9 pin. It is not easy to connect and therefore one pin has broken. Philips do not offer replacement parts. Therefore I've had to throw the whole set away. I won't be replacing them like for like but will look out for a more robust set. All for the sake of a pin!
