4 out of 5 stars Awesome sound but there's a but   April 21, 2006

Yes, the 'juke box' usb link actually works (Windows suggests you don't install the software) and is easy to use. And the sound can be pretty much tailored to exactly how you want it and there's plenty of it too; I'm nervous about cranking up the volume more than half way and I still heard notes from Corelli's Christmas Concerto I never heard before. The design is a blend of modern and retro and I think it works quite well; your kids will like it, but your parents probably won't and there's a but- the cd changer disk shelves are clearly very fragile and I don't know how they will stand the test of time and the changer is not exactly quiet - sound reminds me of the Ed 209 '15 seconds to comply' robot from Robocop as the discs load if you catch my drift. Considering the budget price, I can live with that, let's just hope the disc drawers last. Oh, and engage the 'max sound' button at your peril :) this system hardly needs it...
